Thank you for purchasing your copy of "My Island Home: St. Croix"!

I wrote this poetic narrative in response to the happiness that I felt while living and working on St. Croix, USVI as a 

Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) . The images are inspired by the beautiful culture, phenomenal views, 

and amazing people I've met.

This book is my small way of giving back to an island that has blessed me so much. 

During the Covid-19 pandemic, I yearned for more peace and 

less stress in my life.

I never imagined that I would leave the fast pace of Washington, DC for the peace of an island. Yet, in February 2021, I arrived on the island (without ever visiting) only to be greeted by the most genuine people and the transformative time in my life.

I have learned so much about serving others, living simply, and what it means to have an "island home" filled with beautiful scenery, loving people, and deep-rooted culture.

This book is dedicated to the children (young and old) and families on the island who represent St. Croix, USVI with such love, and grace. Thank you to everyone who I have met over the past 18 months.

My hope is that the narration of this story will capture the wonder and beauty of seeing this beautiful island from the perspective of "home".
